How to Call the Elevator and Escape in Roblox Closing Shift

Last updated:

Find all four keys and the four-digit code, use the EXIT CONTROL keypad at Service Hatch B-2 and press CALL to bring the elevator back in Closing Shift.

Quick answer

Go back to the SERVICE HATCH B-2 terminal room with all four keys collected, enter the four-digit code on the EXIT CONTROL keypad, then press the CALL button. A correct code makes the cover drop and the call button go live; the elevator announces that it is on its way and comes down to carry you to the ground floor.

  • You need all four keys (KEYS 4/4) before the keypad sequence works.
  • The four digits come from notes around the restaurant; in one recorded solo run the working code was 7825.
  • After riding up, use the last key on the chained glass front door and push it open to reach the lot.

Closing Shift drops you into the restaurant through the very elevator you will later recall: you step in at street level, the doors seal behind you, and it descends to B-2, where you exit into a small security room. From that moment the only way out is through the restaurant itself — the objective is to find four keys and a four-digit code, use them to call the elevator back, and ride it out. Everything between the sealing doors and the CALL button is that search.

The escape, step by step

Checklist

  • Find all four keys

The HUD tracks progress (KEYS 3/4, KEYS 4/4). In the recorded run, keys turned up on a shelf, in a locked storage locker, in dry storage and inside a freezer.

  • Gather the code digits

Notes around the restaurant reveal individual digits. That run found the 1st digit on a scrawled floor note and the 3rd and 4th on notes in SERVICE DUCT 1; the 2nd digit never appeared as a note.

  • Return to SERVICE HATCH B-2

With KEYS 4/4, go back through the service hatch to the terminal room where the EXIT CONTROL keypad is.

  • Enter the four-digit code

Wrong entries get THE KEYPAD BUZZES: WRONG CODE. The correct code drops the cover: THE CALL BUTTON IS LIVE.

  • Press CALL and board

The elevator answers THE ELEVATOR IS ON ITS WAY. Step in and ride to the ground floor.

  • Unlock the chained front door

Hold E with the last key to undo the padlock chain, then push the glass door out to the lot.

The EXIT CONTROL keypad and the four-digit code

The recall point is the EXIT CONTROL keypad in the terminal room next to SERVICE HATCH B-2 — the same area you started from, so once the search is done, the way back is the service hatch you first cranked open. The keypad only works once the search really is done: the recorded run approached it after the HUD read KEYS 4/4 and the objective had changed to finding the rest of the code.

Every entry gets an immediate response. In the demonstrated run, 7125, 7225, 7325, 7425, 7525, 7625 and 7725 each returned "THE KEYPAD BUZZES: WRONG CODE." Entering 7825 returned "THE COVER DROPS. THE CALL BUTTON IS LIVE."

Treat 7825 as that run's code rather than a fixed answer. The digits that run found on paper were the 1st digit — 7, scrawled on a floor note — and the 3rd and 4th digits — 2 and 5, from notes in the SERVICE DUCT 1 maintenance and power room. The 2nd digit never appeared as a note; the player pinned it down at the keypad by trying the remaining combinations. That is the practical takeaway: the keypad buzzes on every wrong entry, so a digit you cannot find on paper can be recovered by testing the unknown position, and each digit you do confirm on paper shrinks the number of tries. The code HUD keeps pace with what you know, too — it displayed 7_25 once three digits were confirmed.

For where keys and digit notes tend to sit, the four keys locations guide and the four-digit code guide go into more detail.

Two tools make the search itself easier. The Puppet at the security desk can help you — in the recorded run it appeared when the player opened the gift box in the security room and offered a Q&A help menu — and the security cameras show what is moving through the building while you hunt for keys and digits. The restaurant is not empty while you do this: that same run was caught twice by animatronics before it ever reached the keypad, so knowing where to hide in closets and barricade doors matters as much as route knowledge. The camera guide and the voice chat guide cover those systems in depth.

Ride up, unlock, and get out

Once the call button is live, press it: the elevator answers "THE ELEVATOR IS ON ITS WAY." Board it and ride to the ground floor. The escape is not finished at the elevator doors — the front exit is a glass door chained with a padlock, and you hold E with the last key to undo it, then push the door out to the lot.

In the recorded solo run, what followed was a Springtrap encounter and the restaurant burning behind the player, and the screen confirmed the escape with "PHASE 1 COMPLETE", "ESCAPED", +839 XP and a time of 16:26. Those numbers belong to that one run, so read them as an example of the payoff rather than a fixed reward. The full walkthrough covers the entire route from the first elevator ride to this point, and the ending explained page goes deeper into the Springtrap sequence.
